About Us
The Heritage School aims to provide quality education through the employment of highly qualified teachers in small, intimate classes providing an education that is both interesting and fun. With this ethos in mind, local resources, specialists and scientists will be used to turn learning into reality, creating lasting impressions.

There are a host of sports, extra murals and clubs on offer such as music, dancing, pottery, fishing, advanced art, self defense, karate, swimming, chess, cycling, scuba diving, adventure club, cricket, soccer, first aid, nature conservation.
FACILITIES
Set on approx. 8 hectares in the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site, close to the Blaauwbank river, next door to the historical Kromdraai Gold Mine, The Heritage School site has a long varied history with the original School Master’s house (over 100 years old) situated in the grounds.
The main administrative block includes offices, staff room, a large hall and a fully equipped Canteen/Tuck Shop with an enclosed dining area.
There are 14 classrooms equipped to seat 10 students and their teacher with covered passageways connecting the classrooms to the main administration block ensuring the students are protected from the elements and inclement weather.
There is a large training size swimming pool in a secure, fenced off area, in addition to sports fields and ample ablution blocks.
A shaded parking area next to the main road with a secure drop-off and collection point.
CANTEEN
The School has a fully equipped canteen which provides lunch for the students on a daily basis. The canteen facilities include a large kitchen and an enclosed seating area which can accomodate up to 70 children at a time.
There are two standard menus, one for winter and one for summer which were compiled by Food Glorious Food.
SECURITY
Access to the property is through a 24 hour monitored gate. The grounds are fully fenced with 1.8m high diamond mesh with barbwire topping and in strategic places palisade fencing. All parents entering the school premises need to be in posession of an Entrance disk. Entrance to the main school area by the students is controlled by fingerprint Access Control at the main entrance, enabling parents and staff to identify when the students are on the premises.
In addition the classrooms will have 24 hour camera surveillance, in the future parents will be able to log onto the internet and monitor their child’s movements in real time.
