The Heritage School welcomes you!

The school is nestled in the beautiful surroundings of Kromdraai, just 2km from the Sterkfontein Caves and situated in a World Heritage Site known as The Cradle of Humankind.

The school first opened its doors on 12 January 2009 and has the honour to help raise and educate learners into adults with the help of an amazing group of educators and specialists.

The school is also believed to be the same school where Dr Robert Broom came across a schoolboy, Gert Terblance, who had in his pocket skull fragments, including five teeth, and a few skeletal fragments which became the first specimen of Australopithecus robustus.

Dr Robert Broom later went on to discover the world famous Mrs Ples.

Our vision is to offer and encourage every child to achieve all the skills necessary to reach his or her greatest potential. As a multicultural and diverse learning community, we are committed to providing each child a diverse education in a safe, supportive environment that promotes self-discipline, motivation and excellence in learning.

The Heritage School team joins the parents and the community to assist our children in developing skills to become independent and self-sufficient adults who will succeed and contribute responsibly in a global community
